When you visit the Learning Lab, you’ll be greeted warmly in a relaxed, welcoming environment. We understand that you may feel uneasy about technology. You aren’t alone. That’s why we offer different learning opportunities.
The Learning Lab offers classrooms and a home demonstration area where visitors can experience a variety of safety technologies in a real-life setting. User-friendly educational materials and one-on-coaching help increase understanding and comfort with useful technology tools.
We suggest that you begin by attending one of these information sessions, depending on your specific needs:
Overview Session and Tour
1) Join us for a free information session and tour of the Learning Lab! Learn about the Learning Lab and technology to help older adults living more independently.
The Learning Lab is open 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Walk-ins welcome, but we advise visitors to schedule an appointment to ensure staff is free to answers questions.

Condition-specific Info Session
Condition-specific information sessions are available by special request. Examples include:
- Deaf or hard of hearing specific information sessions
- Low vision information sessions
- Medication reminder and medication dispenser information sessions
- Dementia information sessions
