Tours, Info Sessions & Classes

The Learning Lab regularly provides group tours and information sessions at its home location in the Cora McCorvey Health and Wellness Center. Whether you’re looking for a quick 15-minute overview, a one-hour Q and A session, or an in-depth two-hour presentation, we will work with your group or organization to meet your needs and expectations. We typically schedule tours and info sessions during regular Lab hours, Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM.

However, we can also make arrangements for early evening or weekend sessions. Be sure to let Lynn Taylor, our Learning Lab Coordinator, 612-843-6790, know the size of your group so that adequate staff can be available for your visit. We are happy to meet your van or other group transport in our lobby if you would like an escort up to the Lab. Wheelchairs can be provided.

In the near future, the Learning Lab will offer regular general information sessions. Please sign up for our electronic newsletter to receive that and other announcements regarding special classes from the Learning Lab. If you prefer that a paper newsletter be mailed to you, please mention that to Lynn Taylor, Learning Lab Coordinator at lmtaylor@augustanacare.orgor 612-843-6790.

The Learning Lab is a well-lit wheelchair-accessible suite of rooms located on the second level of the Cora McCorvey Health and Wellness Center. It is accessible by an open staircase with hand railings and by elevator. There is ample parking in our parking lot, which is on the south side of the Wellness Center.

The Learning Lab offers information sessions and tours, both scheduled and by special request. Individualized instruction is also offered to accommodate various learning styles and preferences. Options include:

  • Individual consultation–for specific needs such as memory loss, Alzheimer’s, and other forms of dementia.
  • “Pack and Go” sessions–we travel to you at conferences, community health fairs, elder support centers, churches, and residential buildings in the greater metropolitan area.
